Linguistic Support

Appen's team of experienced linguists provide the following services:

• Morphological analysis of languages to facilitate machine translation, ASR and text processing can be provided in formats suited to client software.
• Scenarios are researched and developed to act as prompts to facilitate focused spontaneous data collections.
• For scripted speech data collections, Appen prepares language materials and develops reading scripts or materials for speakers. This includes language and country specific information such as the most common people names, place names and company names and Named Entity lists, as well as common words, digit representations and phonetically rich materials. We also make recommendations on reading script content and structure.
