Directions
The Appen offices are located in the North Tower of Chatswood Central, built directly beside the railway lines at Chatswood Station. While there are many ways to get to Chatswood itself (see below for some help), once arrived make your way to the Railway Street entrance of Chatswood Station and from there follow these general directions:
General Directions
Coming out of the station onto Railway Street, turn right and head north towards Help Street (you do not need to cross any roads). The tall blue office block about 100m ahead on the right is the North Tower. As you walk, you'll notice a food court on your right - either walk through the food court to the far end, or continue along the footpath until you reach a set of escalators and take these up off the street. The building entrance is a set of double glass doors (next to Rocket restaurant) with a bank of three elevators in the lobby.
Getting to Chatswood:
- By Train
Chatswood is a major station on the North Shore Line which runs the route from the City to Hornsby, and it is soon to be serviced by the Epping - Chatswood Rail Link. Trains travelling along the North Shore Line leave the City from Central, Town Hall, and Wynyard stations and the journey to Chatswood takes around 20-25 minutes. Once at Chatswood Station, exit to Railway Street on the western side of the station (Pacific Highway side) and from there follow the "General Directions" given above. Note that currently there is construction at the station and changes may be occurring daily.
- By Bus
Chatswood is serviced by many Sydney Buses and Forest Coach Lines bus routes. For timetables and route information see the Sydney Buses, Forest Coach Lines, or 131500 Transport Infoline websites. Most of these services terminate at Chatswood Station, and will drop passengers at one of two set down areas.
Railway Street Set-down: Buses arriving on the west side of the station will drop passengers directly in Railway Street near the station entrance. These routes include:
Bus Interchange: Buses arriving on the east side of the station will terminate in the Bus Interchange located below the railway line. From the interchange, follow the signs for Chatswood Station and make your way to the Railway Street entrance. From here follow the "General Directions" given above. These routes include:
- By Car
The main route in and out of Chatswood is via the Pacific Highway. There is very little free parking in Chatswood but there is some near Chatswood Oval. There are a few open-air paid parking spots off Archer Street, near the Highway. Paid covered parking is available at the various shopping centres and in the street. The Westfield Parking Station in Archer Street has free parking for the first 3 hours. There is no staff parking in the building.
- By Taxi
Ask the taxi driver to take you to Chatswood Railway Station and drop you on the west side in Railway Street near the entrance to the station. Make sure you are on the same side of the street as the station (cross the road if necessary) and from here follow the "General Directions" given above.
- From Sydney (Mascot) Airport
A taxi trip from the Airport to Appen's offices in Chatswood normally takes 40 minutes. You can also take the train to the City (20-25 min) and switch, get off at Wynyard Station and take the North Shore Line to Chatswood (20-25 min).
